TRAINING

Hands-on training classes designed specifically for nonprofit staff

  • All staff and volunteers of Ohio nonprofit organizations are encouraged to attend our hands-on software training and technology management seminars.

  • Classes cover very specific topics and last only 3 hours. Quickie courses are specialized 1- to 2-hour sessions.

  • Hands-on training is limited to 12 students per class. (Note: Some classes may have additional size restrictions.) Classes fill quickly, so be sure to register early.

  • A minimum of 5 students is required for each class. If the minimum is not reached, you will be contacted with a reschedule date. Please remember that all of these dates are tentative and subject to change.

  • Classroom training is held at Info Line (703 S Main St #211, Akron); directions are at www.infolineinc.org/directions.htm.

  • Cost is $60 per person. Quickie courses are $30 per person. Summit County nonprofits with operating budgets less than $1,000,000 are eligible for stipends (up to $1,000). We are asking other community foundations to join this program, and we will keep you updated of our progress.

  • The registration deadline is 2 business days before the class.

  • Those who register for a class but do not attend will be charged for that class. Cancellations must be received by 4:00 pm two days before the class in order to be eligible for non-payment.

  • If you attended a class previously in the past year, you can repeat the class at no charge.

  • Please remember that all class dates are tentative and subject to change.

  • Project Connect now offers classes "on demand": just call or e-mail to have your name added to the list, and as soon as we have enough folks registered, we'll schedule the class. This way, we can run whatever classes you need, when you need them!
